The Queeny Of The Nile
Luxurious sailing with the Boutique Dahabeya on the Nile from Luxor to Aswan:
Pure deceleration!
The Queeny Of The Nile IS “The Queen Of The Nile”
The Queeny Of The Nile is a sailing ship without an engine, 56 meters long, eight meters wide, consists of the lower cabin deck and the sun deck and is accompanied by a tug.
She is the Best!
Our individually air conditioned luxurious cabins and suites
On the lower deck there are ten comfortable outside cabins (3.5 x 3.25 m) with large panoramic windows and two spacious suites (4.9 x 4m) with their own terrace. All cabins and suites differ in color and have their own individually designed bathroom. All cabins and suites are equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning.
The Salon aboard Queeny Of The Nile with its Library
The saloon of the Queeny Of The Nile is also on the same level. It is four by eight meters and houses our large library with interesting and informative books and illustrated books about the history of ancient Egypt, about life in Egypt today and about Islam, but also fiction.
Since the salon is air-conditioned and sheltered from the wind, you can retreat here if it gets too hot upstairs. During the winter months, meals are sometimes served down here as well, depending on the weather and temperature.
Next to the saloon are the kitchen, the crew’s quarters and the boat manager’s quarters who is responsible for the Queeny Of The Nile’s operation.
Queeny Of The Nile’s Sun Deck
On the sundeck, protected by a beautiful wooden decoration, stands the large table, which is the heart of the ship. Here guests can have meals together.
The food is always fresh as food is bought and processed daily at local markets.
On the sun deck there are also loungers for sunbathing and reading, as well as several sofas on which you can relax or admire the area together over a chat and a cup of tea.
There is also a bar here, where our attentive bartender will serve you.
Last but not least lädt die arabische Sitzecke mit ihren traditionellen Kissen zum Verweilen ein.
Each room on the “Queeny Of The Nile” has individually adjustable air conditioning and 24 hour electricity – currently with a generator during the day, at night the ship benefits from a storage system charged during the day. WiFi is available throughout the ship. Unfortunately, the internet in Egypt cannot be compared to ours. Therefore, failures can occur again and again if the signal is too weak.
What makes Queeny Of The Nile so special
Our design
The well-groomed boutique dahabeya combines simple European elegance with playful, colorful elements of the Orient.
Our sense of detail makes our “Queeny” so special: the differently colored cabins and suites, the bathrooms with indirect lighting, the saloon with a library, the sun deck protected with beautiful wooden decorations, the inviting sofas and loungers, even the romantic lamps are designed by us.
Services
Our guests benefit from an attentive service on board. Our 15 friendly crew members take care behind and in front of the scenes to make your stay on board a pleasure. With us, the guest is king!
During the day, our chef is available for your requests at any time and will enchant you with his culinary skills. The crew ensures that enough water is taken on shore excursions and that those returning home are greeted with a damp cloth and a fresh drink.
Drinks
Our bartender anticipates your wishes before you even have them. Snacks, soft drinks and water are available around the clock.
The crew only goes to bed when the last guest has gone to sleep.
Often the owners are also on board and take care of your concerns personally.
Perfect details
After a delicious dinner under the African starry sky on deck, you can end the evening with a drink and review the events of the day. When you go to bed later, you can look forward to small details in your room: let yourself be surprised!
Photovoltaic System
As a further step towards sustainability and the preservation of resources, a photovoltaic system has been installed on the Queeny.
“My hand can be seen in many details: I drew the plans of the rooms inside the ship and designed all the furniture in the cabins and on the sundeck. All small and large decorative elements are designed by me, be it the pergola, the railings on deck and the bar, the stucco work and cabinets in the cabins as well as all the lamps.
All materials and fabrics were selected, measured and processed by me. Every cabin and suite as well as the bathrooms bear my signature in terms of design, material and feel.”

Our love to every detail
Our well-kept boutique dahabeya combines simple European elegance with playful, colorful elements of the Orient. Our sense of detail makes our “Queeny” so unique. We have paid particular attention to high-quality materials and excellent quality.
Starting with the choice of metal for the construction through to the various materials and everyday items in the cabins, on deck and in the kitchen.
The pergola on the sun deck catches the eye with its wooden “mashrabeya”. The bar on the sun deck, the loungers and sofas invite you to relax.
The cabins and suites differ in color and are all named after a corresponding flower. All bathrooms are also designed differently.
In the division of labor we complemented each other perfectly. Mohamed was responsible for all the technology, such as the installation of a water treatment system and air conditioning, as well as the development of our “Abu al’Qumsan” tugboat.
Hygiene on board the Queeny Of The Nile
“We attach particular importance to hygiene on board Queeny Of The Nile, something I sorely missed on other Dahabeyas. Our Arabic crew went through a 1:1 introduction and personal training with me.
I cleaned the entire ship with the housekeeping team and trimmed my crew to Swiss standards of hygiene and cleanliness. The “Queeny Of The Nile” is also the first Dahabeya with a cleaning trolley and a dishwasher.”

Planned: Queeny Of The Nile on-board boutique
As a further service, we plan to offer our guests a selection of traditional Egyptian clothing and accessories that I have selected in a small on-board boutique.
“My experience has taught me that European ladies in particular want comfortable, North African clothing for a Nile cruise, but lack the opportunity to try on a dress in the lively, noisy soukhs. I can convey this inhibition to travelers with my board boutique. We will also offer shirts and Bermuda shorts with our elegant logo.”
