“On such voyages to distant lands, however, it is customary to tip the crew at the end of the Nile River Cruise”

– Katharina Nemeth

Speaking of tips:

Tips are always voluntary. Our crew is paid fairly and also received their wages during the Corona period. However, on such voyages in distant lands, it is customary to tip the crew at the end of the voyage. Again and again we are asked for a recommendation on how big a reasonable tip should be.

We recommend:

We recommend calculating around 10% of the travel price if you are particularly satisfied with the service. Of course it can also be more. On the last evening we put envelopes in the cabins for the tip. The currency doesn’t matter. The total of all guests is then converted into Egyptian pounds and shared fairly among our 15 crew members.
